Yes. The insurance covers the solicitor’s and court agent’s fees, as well as the costs of the proceedings up to the policy limits. You do not have to pay anything upfront.
Yes. The law gives you the right to freely choose your own lawyer and court agent in any proceedings, and that right does not depend on the company. What does vary from one policy to another is the amount available to cover those fees: we go through it with you when we review your contract. More on this right.
